THIS INDENTURE MADE the 1st day of December in the year
of Our lord 1811 BETWEEN EDWARD COODE of the Parish of
Saint Austell County of Cornwall Gentleman and EDWARD
FOX of Gonvena in the Parish of Egloshayle in the said
County Merchant of the one part and EDMUND JOHN GLYNN of
Glynn in the said County Esquire of the other part
WITNESSETH that for and in consideration of 5 shillings
of lawful money of Great Britain to the said Edward
Coode and Edward Fox in hand paid by the said Edmund
John Glynn the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
They the said Edward Coode and Edward Fox HAVE and each
of them HATH bargained and sold and by these presents DO
and each of them DOTH bargain and sell unto the said
Edmund John Glynn ALL THAT capital messuage or dwelling
house Barton and farm with outbuildings barns garden and
other appurtenances thereto belonging and all those
several pieces or parcels of demesne land to the said
capital messuages or dwelling house Barton farm
belonging or therewith occupied containing in the whole
211 acres 3 roods and 38 perches (or little more or
less) all which said capital, messuage Barton farm
demesne land and premises are commonly called or known
by the name of TREMEER and are situate lying and being
in the Parish of Lanivet in the said County of Cornwall
and were late in the holding or of William Lanyon and
afterwards of Francis Lanyon his widow and since of
Thomas Thomas as tenant thereof TOGETHER with all and
singular houses outhouses edifices buildings yards ways
paths passages waters watercourses lands meadows
leisures pastures feedings woods underwoods profits
privileges advantages and appurtenances whatsoever to
the Capital messuage Barton Farm Demesne lands other
hereditaments hereby bargained and sold or intended so
to be or any part thereof belonging or in any wise
appertaining or to or with the same or any part parcel
or member thereof (save and except and always reserved
unto William Stephen Poyntz Esquire his heirs appointees
and assigns all and all manner of Common common of
pasture common of turbary and all other commonable
rights in over and upon the several Commons called
Lamorack Clan and Church Town and all other Commons and
waste lands within the said Parish of Lanivett appendant
and appurtenant to the said messuage lands hereditaments
and premises hereinbefore expressed to be bargained and
sold or any part and parcel thereof and all allotments
to be made in lieu of any such Common or Commonable
Rights) AND the reversion and reversions remainder and
remainders yearly and other rents issues and profits of
and all singular the said Capital messuage Barton Farm
demesne lands and other hereditaments hereinbefore
expressed and intended to be bargained and sold with
their appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof TO
HAVE AND TO HOLD the said capital messuage Barton Farm
demesne lands and hereditaments and all and singular
other the premises mentioned and intended to be hereby
bargained and sold unto the said Edmund John Glynn his
Executors administrators and assigns from the day next
before the day of the date of these presents for during
and unto the full end and term of one whole year from
thence next and immediately ensuing fully to be complete
and ended YEILDING AND PAYING therefore at the end of
the said term the rent of a pepper corn if the same
shall be lawfully demanded to the true intent and
purpose that by virtue of these presents and by force of
the statute for transferring uses into possession He the
said Edmund John Glynn may be in actual possession of
the said capital messuage Barton Farm Demesne lands and
other hereditaments and all singular and other premises
hereinbefore bargained and sold or intended so to be and
thereby be enabled to accept and take a grant and
release at the reversion and inheritance thereof to him
the said Edmund John Glynn his heirs and assigns IN
WITNESS whereof the said parties to these presents their
hands and seals have hereunto set this day and year
first above written.
