This is the final agreement made in the court of the Lord King at Westminster on a day in the third week after Trinity Sunday in the first year of the reign of James Second, by the grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, from the Conquest Before Thomas Jones, Job Charlton, (Ores?W.... ) and Thomas Street, Judges and other faithful subjects of the Lord King then there present, between John Mountstevens esquire, Plaintiff and Richard Bullocke and Dorothy his wife and Thomas Bullocke and Jane his wife, Deforciants, concerning the Manor of Lancarfe with appurtenances of sixteen messuages, twenty gardens, fourteen orchards, fifty acres of arable land, five acres of meadow, forty acres of pasture, thirty acres of furze-break and heath and ten acres of moor with appurtenances in Lancarfe, (Oederton?), Holton and Bodmin, whence a plea of covenant was summoned between them in the same court, namely that the aforesaid Richard and Dorothy and Thomas and Jane acknowledged the aforesaid manor and tenements with appurtenances to be the right of John himself as that which the same John had by gift of the aforesaid Richard and Dorothy and Thomas and Jane and which they remised and quitclaimed from themselves, Richard and Dorothy and Thomas and Jane and their heirs to the aforesaid John and his heirs for ever. And moreover the same Richard and Dorothy have granted for themselves and the heirs of the same Richard that they will warrant to the aforesaid John and his heirs the manor and tenements with appurtenances against all men for ever and lastly Thomas and Jane have granted for themselves and the heirs of Thomas himself that they will warrant to the aforesaid John and his heirs the manor and tenements with appurtenances against all men for ever. And for this acknowledgement, remise, quitclaim, warrant, fine and agreement the same John gave Richard and Dorothy and Thomas and Jane two hundred and forty pounds sterling.
